The event on June 7, 2024 is a fundraiser for the following two recipients:

DELIA ARTS FOUNDATION

Purpose: The Delia Arts Foundation provides the tools, infrastructure, and resources to make dreams a reality for talented young musicians, particularly in regions where opportunities to become professional musicians are scarce. In this space, we aim to create positive change in the lives of musicians and their communities while promoting the values of peace, tolerance, creativity, and humanity.

Narrative: The Delia Arts Foundation has been a steadfast presence in Gaza for many years, with programming designed and implemented by Gazans for Gazans. Once a vibrant hub for artists and musicians, the center provided various arts-related services, including workshops, practice and studio space, writing and recording support, and more. However, it has now been bombed and destroyed.

In response, the foundation swiftly adapted its mission and created the Rafah Emergency Shelter. This shelter currently supports 100 artists and their families, offering food, basic necessities, emergency supplies, shelter, and psychosocial support, including activities for the children.

While the Delia Arts Foundation operates globally, we can earmark our donations for the Rafah Emergency Shelter. We are in contact with the Executive Director, who is committed to maintaining transparency about the allocation and impact of our contributions.

NETWORK FOR PALESTINE

Purpose: A grassroots network of Cairo mothers helping Gazan families in Egypt rebuild their lives with dignity.

Narrative: In our research, the Network for Palestine has consistently emerged as a highly recommended grassroots group, particularly endorsed by the director of Road to Freedom. This group is led by an American mother who has lived and worked in Cairo for 40 years. Despite their small size, they have a remarkable impact. Their number served is already over 3000.

Network for Palestine operates a building and center where it offers a variety of critical services. These include a free store, sponsorships, and access to essential information for newly arrived families who often have nothing. Their support ranges from providing clothing and furniture to children’s school and activity boxes to assistance for people with medical needs and even covering up to six months of rent.

Moreover, the Network for Palestine welcomes volunteers, allowing us to get involved and offer on-the-ground support in the future.
